Neoplasm

This collection explores a dismantling of glowing puzzle pieces as a way to focus and visualize our battle against cancer. #fuckcancer

The first Neoplasm piece is designed using 3d modelling software, printed in wax layer by layer as an exact replica of 3d model and cast in silver from a lost wax plaster mould. The silver neoplasm has glow in the dark silicone resin being stimulated and also acting as isolation for a tiny electrical circuit powering an LED. By dismantling the puzzle, the circuit is broken and with time, the glowing resin will fade.

Second Neoplasm piece is made of a sliced sponge, LED circuit and sewing pins.

Third Neoplasm is carved and sliced from wax, LED circuit and hinge system.
